“Let us pray and holy manna will be showered all around.”

The world is filled with the glory of God from the smallest leaf or blade of grass, to the mighty mountains and the unfathomable depths of the sea. Mystics have known this for centuries and have shared their experiences of God in prayer, in community, in worship, and in creation. Poets give us glimpses, invitations to see, for a moment, what they see and let our eyes adjust to wonder. Our tactile experience of water, air, fire, earth allow the feeling to rush back into our fingers and the breath to flow back into our lungs. The more open we are to the people and animals that share our planet, the more we know the truth that God is the one in whom we all live and move and have our being, that God exists among us and through us and in us. All of us. Holy Manna is a celebration of God, who walks with us daily through the Holy Spirit’s presence and who we have seen face to face in the nature and spirit of Jesus. This same Jesus invites us to see the world with new eyes, with the eyes of wisdom, and to know ourselves intimately connected with every living being on the planet, all of us here by God’s divine initiative, all of us created for the glory of God.
